Not many casting details are not yet known about the surprise forthcoming production of Mortal Kombat Legacy: Season 3 following the intial report from late March when director Kevin Tancharoen stated he was actively speaking with game franchise producer Ed Boon and executives at Warner Bros about the new installation. However, at least one actor from season two is taking to his Facebook page to share a little something-something with his followers:
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));
Hopefully this bit of news will lead to the active production of the feature film that has been developing since 2010 when Tancharoen put himself on the map with the stellar fan shortfilm, Mortal Kombat Rebirth. For those not in the know, it was that very shortfilm that ultimately led to the hit webseries, first airing in 2011 with season one and late last year with season two before Tancharoen announced he was transitioning to other creative opportunities, essentially stepping away from the franchise altogether.
