Brigitte Bardot, the legendary French screen icon and animal rights activist, passed away today, December 28, 2025, at the age of 91. Known to the world simply as “B.B.,” her death marks the end of an era for global cinema. For any true enthusiast of French film, Bardot was more than a “sex kitten”; she was a performer of unexpected depth who redefined modern womanhood on screen. Born Brigitte Anne-Marie Bardot on September 28, 1934, in Paris, she was a trained ballet dancer before a cover for Elle magazine launched her into the stratosphere of global fame. While the media quickly labeled her a “sex kitten” following her breakout in And God Created Woman (1956), Bardot’s true legacy lies in the way she wielded her stardom to take on roles that challenged the very industry that created her. By 1960, Bardot was determined to be seen as more than just […]

Indian film coverage is always a mystery. Any details apart from the usual boilerplate language are scant which is always admittedly frustrating, and which I reckon is what these guys love about their field. Things are constantly kept under a tight lid, and they know it’ll only make people more curious about what’s coming. And, agreeably, I’m curious about TikiTaka. The new action adventure is directed by Rohit VS with a cast led by Asif Ali. The film was announced in 2024 and production has been teasing folks for a while now with a slow trickle of posters in the last several months. I’ve gathered a slideshow of these which you can view below, including the latest one which illustrates a character with a back tattoo and claws fresh from a Marvel superhero fave. Again, I don’t know what any of this means, so spool through these a bit and […]
