The wee hours of Friday saw a new poster for The Shadow’s Edge, marked for a 2025 release to be announced and starring Jackie Chan and Tony Leung Ka-Fai. The film reteams Chan with Ride On helmer Larry Yang, as well as actor and martial artist Zac Wang who made his Western debut opposite Jaden Smith in The Karate Kid (2010). The Shadow’s Edge follows the efforts of Macau’s Judiciary Police and its Criminal Investigation Department to catch a band of criminals with the help of a tracking expert pulled out of retirement. Also starring are Ci Sha, Zhang Zi Feng, Lang Yu Ting, and Wang Zi Yi, along with recording artist, Jun, of SEVENTEEN. Check out the poster below. Arriving just in time for the Chinese New Year festival on January 29 is action adventure epic, Legend Of The Condor Heroes: The Great Hero. The latest Tsui Hark adaptation of Jin Yong’s literary work stars Xiao Zhan, Sabrina Zhuang, and Ip Man 4 co-star Vanda Margraf. Hark directs from a script based on a segment of Yong’s first book in the “Legend Of The Condor Heroes” saga, which follows martial arts hero Guo Jing as he and others defend the Central Plains during the Mongols’ war campaign against the Jin and Song dynasties. We’re roughly seven or so months away from the release of James Gunn’s new DC comics adaptation, Superman. With the first teaser slated for Thursday, fans now have a debut motion poster to teaser things a bit, fearuring David Corenswet in full regalia. The film is billed as the first stop of the rebooted DCU from Gunn and co-shepherd Peter Safran following Warner Bros. Pictures’ Snyderverse of films that began with Zack Snyder’s Man Of Steel, and ended with James Wan’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Variety’s Jack Dunn debut the first poster for Ash, the new sci-fi thriller from director Flying Lotus, and starring Eiza González, Aaron Paul, and Iko Uwais. RLJE Films has since unveiled a teaser trailer as of October and now the film has a release date set for March 21. On the mysterious planet of Ash, Riya (González) awakens to find her crew slaughtered. When a man named Brion (Paul) arrives to rescue her, an ordeal of psychological and physical terror ensues while Riya and Brion must decide if they can trust one another to survive. Flying Lotus, whose real name is Steven Ellison, directs from a script by Jonni Remmler. XYZ Films has set an April 18 theatrical release for The Ritual, the new exorcism horror thriller starring Al Pacino and Dan Stevens. The company has also unveiled the first poster on Wednesday. Based on true events, The Ritual follows two priests – one questioning his faith (Stevens) and one reckoning with a troubled past (Pacino) – who must put aside their differences to save a possessed young woman through a difficult and dangerous series of exorcisms. The film is an authentic portrayal of Emma Schmidt, an American woman whose demonic possession culminated in harrowing exorcisms. Her case remains the most thoroughly documented exorcism in American history. The Man Standing Next and The Drug King helmer Woo Min-ho is back with another offering this time in Harbin, which now gets an official trailer ahead of its Korean release from CJ ENM. Harbin is set in the early 1900s and chronicles the complexities of leadership faced by beleagured Korean independence activist Ahn Jung-geun, who sets out to assassinate Japan’s prime minister in an effort to redeem himself. The new period spy thriller held its World Premiere for Toronto festivalgoers in September and is now poised for a December 25 release, featuring a cast led by Hyun-Bin, Park Jeong-min, Jo Woo-jin, and more. It has actually been a little over a year since the first teaser footage arrived for famed horror director Can Evrenol’s new flick, Saýara. Inter Medya launched its campaign last October as post-production ensued ahead of its cast and crew debut at the 43rd Istanbul Film Festival back in April. Sayara, a Turkmenistanian young woman, works as a cleaning lady in one of the gyms in İstanbul. Her older sister, Yonca, gets raped and killed by Barış and his three friends. The campaign has officially begun for next year’s release of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. Alas, when a name like that of actor and influencer Shumkarbek Beishenaliev comes into the spotlight with a campaign for a local action comedy called The Ferryman, I’m keen to help draw some attention. The official trailer is finally here following the last few months of poster campaigning and you can spot three of them beneath the player.
