But, that doesn’t mean the year is completely hopeless, and if you’re a moviegoer and love Hong Kong action, you can now guarantee yourselves a few glimmers from directing legend John Woo with the re-releases of several of his heyday classics, including Hard Boiled which opens in select theaters for a limited run on January 25, 26 and 28. The re-release marks a continuance for Shout! Studios who is partnering with GKids on the campaign; Shout! sparked renewed fandom last year with its acquisition of a number of Hong Kong titles, including the entire Golden Princess library which was home to a number of titles from Woo and other directors.
