THE PROPHET: OMNISCIENT READER Teaser Turns The Page On Kim Byung-Woo’s Live Action Webtoon Adaptation

The Terror Live director Kim Byung-woo is diving audiences head-first into fantasy with The Prophet: Omniscient Reader. Lotte is at EFM this week selling to buyers and just revealed a teaser which you can below. When the apocalyptic world depicted in a serial novel suddenly becomes reality, ordinary Kim Dok-ja (Ahn Hyo-seop), the only person who knows how the novel ends – must team up with his companions to rescue the novel’s omnipotent hero, Yoo Jeong-hyuk (Lee Min-ho) and save humanity. The film is based on author duo singNsong’s 2018 webtoon and is produced by Realies Pictures, the same studio behind the first and second installments of Kim Yong-hwa’s Along With The Gods adaptations. Also starring are Chae Soo-bin, Shin Sung-ho, Nana, and BLACKPINK’s JiSoo for the film’s July TBA release. Catch the teaser!

HIGH ROLLERS Trailer Teases John Travolta’s Latest Gamble In The New Crime Thriller

High Rollers is the latest crime thriller heading for theatrical release out of Saban Films, starring John Travolta and Gina Gershon. The official trailer is out with a day and date release set for March 14. Master thief Mason (John Travolta) is living the criminal’s dream: island-hopping with his crew and the love of his life, Decker (Gina Gershon), while floating on a sea of stolen cash. But his dream is shattered when his nemesis, the ruthless Salazar, kidnaps Decker and forces Mason and his crew to attempt a near-impossible casino heist in exchange for her return. SHOWTIME 7: Catch The Latest Trailer For The New Thriller Starring Hiroshi Abe

Taking a page from Kim Byung-woo’s 2013 thriller, The Terror Live, is director Kazutaka Watanabe with the explosive new thriller, Showtime 7. The campaign for this film has been running since late last year and the latest official trailer is now making the rounds. Watanabe directs Showtime 7 from his own script which casts Hiroshi Abe in the role of a former popular news anchor-turned-radio host who finds himself mitigating terroristic bomb threats with a mysterious caller. The description teases something even twistier will happen with Abe’s character in the last six minutes which, admittedly, has me curious to say the least. Also starring are Ryo Ryusei, Meri Nukumi, Mizuki Maehara, Tetsu Hirahara, Kouki Uchiyama, Tamae Ando, Mitsuru Hirata, Haruka Igawa, and Kotaro Yoshida. The movie is set to release on Friday in Japan.

The latest trailer is online for director Genki Takikawa’s two-part finale to 2023’s delinquent action drama dance thriller, Battle King!!: We’ll Rise Again.
