The Flash, The Rip and Wardriver actress Sasha Calle is up for a role in Deadlocked, the new action thriller from Kill helmer Nikhil Nagesh Bhat. Per the trades, Bhat will direct the Amazon MGM Studios project an original idea by Eric Scot Anderson and Matt Takejiro Bosack who also penned the script.
Calle will join actor Jamie Foxx for the story of a grieving former Marine serving jury duty, who is forced back into action when the trial of the century turns into a deadly hostage situation as the defendant’s daughter seizes the courthouse to free her father. Foxx is also producing, as are Fred Berger, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and Dave Caplan AJ Bourscheid, Liz Destro, Paul Currie and Corinne Foxx will exec produce.
Deadlocked is being setup at Amazon MGM Studios for a streaming release, according to Matt Grobar’s exclusive reporting at Deadline on Thursday.
