Did You Like MAD CATS? Did You Enjoy DARK CHILD? Check Out What Ayane Has Been Up To Lately!
I’ve been following action actress Ayane’s progress for a while now, and as of late she’s on track to promote a new shortfilm she’s acted in, developed and directed. There aren’t any details as of yet but as far as expectations go, the closest example being cited thusfar is Dark Child, which reteamed Ayane with Mad Cats director Reiki Tsuno and released online last Spring.
That particular project is a fast-paced and ferocious four-minute thriller which took home several awards from events in London, Spain, and Slovakia. Having taken to Japanese crowdfunding portal Campfire and raising nearly three times its original goal to more than 1.3 million yen, all signs are pointing to Ayane going the distance with a concept that looks to take the success of Dark Child and up the ante in terms of the kind of explosive action choreography that punctuates so much of what we love about Japanese action these days.
Progress reports over at Campfire indicate the project already shot as of May with Ayane starring alongside Masayuki Inou (Green Bullet). With any luck, we can look toward something from Ayane at least by the new year, and undoutedly, whatever this project turns out to be will only the latest move forward for Ayane in her aspirations toward action stardom.
Check out the Campfire page, and if you haven’t seen Mad Cats yet, the movie is available on multiple streaming platforms as well as on Blu-Ray wherever you can find it. Also, do follow Ayane on Instagram.
