It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from director Ranjeet Marwa since the crank-up began last year for his most recent films, Exiled: The Chosen Ones. To be clear though, Marwa and producer Djonny Chen have been busy developing other projects as well as toiling through post-production, including a small round of additional shoots which wrapped in Jakarta.
Having since completed the Birmingham shoot late last year for most of the cast including Sunny Pang and Hannah Al-Rashid, the new footage now includes shots of Oka Antara as promised upon earlier casting, including a shot Marwa teased on Instagram on Wednesday. Marwa also sent us a character poster featuring Antara which you can view below.
After a man-made virus failed to reduce the world’s overpopulated areas, global leaders would start a new program that would legitimize a new venture in a game show. The game would be broadcast live, where random contestants would be exiled into a concrete jungle, forced to kill each other for their freedom. Viewers would place their bets on who had a chance at survival. Be that as it may…no one survives the game.
Also starring are Nisaro Karim and Nick Khan for the film’s slated 2021 release.
