Following previous reports of director James Wan‘s Fast And Furious 7 launching a new trilogy, Filming in Georgia has announced via Twitter that the film would go right into production of the next film after Fast 7 wraps.

Set to release on July 11, 2014, Fast And Furious 7 was written by Chris Morgan and produced by Neal H. Moritz, and builds off the explosive ending of director Justin Lin’s Fast And Furious 6 which just snagged a Peoples’ Choice Award nod, as posted by franchise co-star Michelle Rodriguez. Actor Jason Statham is set to star as the villain coming off the end of the previous film, with returning stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Christopher Bridges, Lucas Black and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
