Twilight Of The Warriors: Walled In

Cameras are reportedly set to roll by next month on Twilight Of The Warriors: The Final Chapter. According to Patrick Frater’s Substack, the film will shoot at in an elaborate set of the Tsim Sha Tsui East area of Kowloon with Soi Cheang returning back into the director’s chair.

Additionally, actors Raymond Lam, Terrance Lau, German Cheung and Tony Wu will all reprise their roles, and are joined by Daniel Wu for the cast. Wilson Yip. Au Kin Yee and Shum Kwan Sin are back and adapting the screenplay based on the hit “City Of Darkness” manhwa, with production design by Kenneth Mak, and action choreography by Kenji Tanigaki.

Cheang’s inaugural installment, Twilight Of The Warriors: Walled-In, produced by John Chong and Wilson Yip, and headlined additionally by Louis Koo, Sammo Hung and Richie Jen, opened in 2024, and swept the Hong Kong box office. It did huge at the awards arena in the months that followed; At the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards, the film scored wins in nine categories, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Original Score, and Best Action Choreography. The movie also screened Out Of Competition at Cannes where plans were announced for a prequel and sequel treatment.

As of last October, Twilight Of The Warriors: The Final Chapter looks to be the latest priority on the docket, with details on its earlier announced predecessor, Twilight Of The Warriors: Dragon Throne, still otherwise pending.
