FROM VEGAS TO MACAU 2 Announces Its Official Starring Cast

Following the Lunar New Year box office success of writer and director Wong Jing‘s hit film, From Vegas To Macau, the sequel has already started production with locations currently extended to Macau, Thailand, Hong Kong and China. Actor Chow Yun-Fat is back leading the cast alongside actress Carina Lau as his love interest, and this week the film has more names to the film’s official cast list.

Actress Kimmy Tong is returning to star along with actor Shawn Yue (Invisible Target, Helios) who replaces the previous film’s co-star, Nicholas Tse who is currently preparing to shoot in New Zealand for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2. Also on board are Nick Cheung (Unbeatable, That Demon Within), along with actress Jin Qiaoqiao (Legendary Amazons, Out Of Inferno), Wu Yue (Bruce Lee – My Brother,  Police Story 2013). The film will also reunite Yue‘s fellow Invisible Target co-star, actor Kenny Wong who previously shared the set in a small role with Chow in the John Woo classic, Hard Boiled. There is no word yet on what Jing’s new script will entail in its plot, although previous reports have already concluded Yue‘s role as a replacement for the first film’s co-star, Nicholas Tse, in addition to Cheung‘s role as a computer expert who will often clash with Chow‘s character, Ken, whose screen relationship with Lau is being set up as a “James Bond-style thrilling romance”; Chow‘s character is a spin-off version of the actor’s previous screen performances in Jing‘s God Of Gamblers film franchise.
The $150 million HKD production will be shot in 3D, with Andrew Lau returning to produce. Stay tuned for more info.
