GATILLERO: Catch The Trailer For Cristian Tapia Marchiori’s Award-Winning One-Shot Crime Thriller
Cristian Tapia Machiori’s new crime thriller, Gatillero, has done amazingly for itself in the Spanish film festivals this year. The film, starring Sergio Podeley as a troubled ex-con on the run from his former crime family when he’s framed for the assassination of the local boss, is now poised for a June 12 release in Argentinian theaters, and the official trailer is finally here.
We also have a line-up of character posters that have been up and running since last month which you can thumb through in the gallery beneath the player. Our own Mike Garcia, who served as juror at this year’s third edition of TACFEST in Toledo where the film screened, saw the film and much to his delight, he rather enjoyed it. Frankly so did I, but I’ll have my own review up next week, so you’re welcome to take a gander at Garcia’s thoughts in the meantime. Here’s a snippet:
Cristian Tapian Marchiori creates an intense film through a single continuous shot in which we follow an anti-hero, as reprehensible as the thugs hunting him, around a relentless buildup of tension and emotions that culminates in a violent outcome that leaves the viewer completely breathless.
Gunman (Gatillero in its original language) is a very remarkable work, a rough, ruthless and relentless story with reminiscences of urban western that stands up for its top quality.
The trailer is English-subbed as well which makes things even more inviting here. Check it all out below!
