Big Bad III: GLADIATOR UNDERGROUND Teases A Taste Of The Action In New Promo Clip!
It’s World Premiere night tonight at the third-annual Big Bad Film Fest for martial arts tourno actioner, Gladiator Underground. The film reteams director Chaya Supannarat with much of her Bangkok Dog team, prominently speaking actors D.Y. Sao, Andy Le and Brian Le.
Witness the birth of the next generation of combat! From the stunt team behind “Everything Everywhere All At Once” — GLADIATOR UNDERGROUND tells the story of Max and Wu, two estranged brothers, who are competing in the world’s most dangerous underground fighting tournament, where powerful crimelords can gamble and influence who they fight and what weapons will be used. In this high-stakes bloodsport where one wrong move can mean certain death, they must decide whether to play by the rules or to cast their honor aside and team up against the dark syndicate running the tournament and bring the entire system down.
The first official teaser promo is up ahead of the film’s World Premiere for the festival in Glendale on Friday evening, and showcases Sao and the red-haired oldest of the Le brothers in screenfighting form. Context is nil for the footage, but take what you from it along with the synopsis above and the fact that you have a team of action actors firing on all cylinders and performing at their strongest in their careers at this point. If you’ve seen The Paper Tigers, Shang Chi and the Legend Of The Ten Rings, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Bangkok Dog, the late Pearry Teo’s Shadow Master, or even the latest Martial Club shortfilm run of “Shaolin Avengers”, you know you’re in for a treat.
