GODFATHER OF HARLEM: New York City Roars With The Arrival Of Frank Lucas In The Season Four Trailer
MGM+ Original Series Godfather of Harlem is getting a fourth season and the official trailer is finally here. The series debuted on Epix in 2019 and you can find it available on select platforms as of late, including over at MGM+ and Hulu.
Created by Chris Brancato and starring Forest Whitaker in the pivotal role of 1960s New York City gangster Bumpy Johnson, the show chronicles the epic sociopolitical and criminal upheaval between the city’s most powerful gangs, namely Johnson’s constant, uneasy tread opposite the Italian mob. The show also spotlights plenty of aspects of Johnson’s own personal life, unraveling a complicated, twisty reveal that ultimately brings Johnson’s family closer together all while faced with the varying aspects of his criminal dealings that threaten to tear them apart.
Whitaker is fantastic in the role, and he’s joined in season four by a mixed roster of new and returning characters, namely Ilfenesh Hadera, Lucy Fry, Antoinette Crowe-Legacy, Erik LaRay Harvey, Michael Raymond James, Elvis Nolasco, and Erik Palladino, and Daytime Emmy Award-winning and NBA Celebrity All-Star MVP winning actor, Rome Flynn.
In Season Four of Godfather of Harlem, Bumpy Johnson (Forest Whitaker) continues his bloody war for control of Harlem against New York’s Mafia families, while contending with the arrival of gangster Frank Lucas (Rome Flynn). After Malcolm X’s (Jason Alan Carvell) tragic assassination, Bumpy must also grapple with his daughter Elise’s (Antionette Crowe-Legacy) involvement with the Black Panthers.
