You have to wonder just how epic the Godzilla franchise can get after this. After 70 years of seeing the atomic creature devastate the world movie after world, leave it to director Takashi Yamazaki to try his hand in the sandbox with his latest sequel effort, Godzilla Minus Zero, following his 2023 Academy Award-winning VFX spectacle, Godzilla Minus One.
The cast is led by Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe who reprise their roles from the previous film. Also starring are Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando and Kuranosuke Sasaki for the film’s pending release in early November, while plans are now underway to screen the film firstly for the 64th New York Film Festival on September 26.

The newest official trailer for Godzilla Minus Zero debuted on Tuesday. Topping it all off an approving look at the film’s 1.43:1 aspect ratio as the film’s inaugural rollout ad the Japanese production filmed For IMAX, using company-certified HD digital cameras, and all the incumbent audio and visual trimmings to boot.
Toho is releasing Godzilla Minus Zero in Japan on November 3 before GKids rolls out the monster’s mayhem stateside on November 6.
