A lot has happened in the two and half months since the first promo footage arose for Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire. Therein also was the albeit jocular crying from incels about how Godzilla was somehow “Barbified” because he’s so pink now. Stuff like that deters me a good deal from online discourse about movies, so I’d rather keep my sanity.
Meanwhile, Adam Wingard just directed what looks to be another hopeful banger in his newest return to the Toei-adjacent Monsterverse which opens in theaters on March 29 from Warner Bros. Pictures. The studio also has a new trailer out now which you can view below that dives in a little more to the story which now sees the two gargantuan rivals teaming up to battle a devastating new foe.
