Blood Hunters and Circle Of Bones helmer Vincent Soberano is currently in production with revenge thriller, Hazel: Revenge Is Sweet. The film reteams him with a shorthand cast that insofar lists Circle Of Bones cohorts Sarah Chang and Stacey Michelon, and with transgender actress Vitex Paguirigan in the title role.
Soberano directs Hazel: Revenge Is Sweet from a script he wrote with Ofelia Hsuan Yi Wang which follows a transgender ex-soldier who assumes the identity of their late sister to investigate her death while battling their own past trauma. Chang plays a Taiwanese cop thrust in a race against time to unravel the truth and stop Haze’s bloody quest, uncovering a web of corruption and danger that reaches far beyond a single act of revenge.
Hazel: Revenge Is Sweet hails from Seq 8 Studios and Scene 8 Studio, with cameras set to roll in Taiwan following completion of its first leg of production in the Philippines this week.
