HEIST OF BENIN: ‘Selma’ Star And Director Reteam For London Thriller
Writer/director Ava DuVernay and actor/producer David Oyelowo are reuniting for Heist Of Benin. The new thriller reunites the two following their work on DuVernay’s Academy Award-nominated Martin Luther King Jr. biopic, Selma.
Plot details are faint but the story is set against the backdrop of contemporary London, and is described as a thriller that intertwines art, love and restitution.
Heist Of Benin hails from STUDIOCANAL, and from Endurance Media whose Steve Richards and Jake Katofsky who will produce. Oyelowo is producing via his Yoruba Saxon banner next to Lisa Bruce. Jesse Quiñones on whose original idea the film is based, will executive produce.
