Highest 2 Lowest, billed as a modern remake of an Akira Kurosawa classic, now has an official trailer following its teaser reveal and a Cannes screening earlier this summer. A24 is releasing the film theatrically on August 15 ahead of its Apple TV+ premiere beginning September 5.

Brothers Denzel Washington and Spike Lee reunite for the 5th in their long working relationship for a reinterpretation of the great filmmaker Akira Kurosawa’s crime thriller High and Low, now played out on the mean streets of modern day New York City.
