Hollywood Storm Circles Adrian Paul, Sheldon Lettich And More As Label Ferments Production Slate Ahead Of EFM
Actor and producer Alexander Nevsky is ramping up a trio of titles on Hollywood Storm roster ahead of EFM in February, two of which are set to go into production in 2025. The slate includes the long-awaited Savage Attack, which has been in development since roughly 2017, with Last Heroes Of Rio Bravo set to complete his Rio Bravo trilogy with co-star/director Joe Cornet back at the helm, as well as upcoming Western actioner, The Wide West.
Savage Attack is billed as “The Raid meets Die Hard”, in a story centered on a CIA operative who must save his former mentor from an insane asylum besieged by hired killers. Nevsky will star alongside Nick Baillie (Malicious), Tatiana Neva (Taken from Rio Bravo) and Cornet.
Highlander franchise mainstay Adrian Paul is also circling the project in a potential reunion with Nevsky since Art Camacho and Andrey Bogatyrev’s 2019’s historical sports drama, Wild League. Sheldon Lettich (Double Impact) is in talks to direct from a script by Showdown In Manila scribe Craig Hamann.
Last Heroes Of Rio Bravo follows suit from the inaugural Gunfight At Rio Bravo, and its sequel, Taken From Rio Bravo. Both the latter two titles snapped by Shout! Studios for their respective 2023 and 2024 releases. The new threequel continues the gunslinging adventures of former Union Army soldier-turned-sheriff Ivan Turchin, who has already crossed bullets and blows with violent bandits and vicious human traffickers.
Lead actor Nevsky will reprise his role next to co-star Cornet, alongside Olivier Gruner (Nemesis, Savate), and actress Neva from the first and second films, respectively, in addition to Baillie.
Currently in post-production for release this year, Nevsky’s American-Japanese Western, The Wide West, teams the former three-time Mr. Universe with Sumo champions Hiroki Sumi (John Wick: Chapter 4) and Takashi Ichinojo (upcoming John Wick Presents: Ballerina). Taking inspiration from Terence Young’s Red Sun (1971), the early 1900s-set story sees the first-ever sumo delegation from Japan trapped in a dangerous Western town when their train gets stopped for repairs. Neva and Baillie will also star from a script by Hamann who crafted the pic with co-producer and Sumo expert, Andrew Freund.
Nevsky’s Hollywood Storm is further joined by Baillie who is co-producing all three films through his Bishop Road Productions company. Eric Brenner (Crazy Heart), and Cornet serve as exec producers.
Hollywood Storm was established by Alexander Nevsky in 2007. Nevsky is a member of Producers Guild of America (PGA) and has produced many high-profile independent action films including Maximum Impact directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak (Romeo Must Die), Black Rose (debuted on Netflix in 2017) and Moscow Heat (released in the US by Universal). Hollywood Storm is based in Beverly Hills, California.
