Ideals Are As Bullet-Proof As Marvel's LUKE CAGE In The First Official Trailer!

Two weeks since Marvel and Netflix unveiled an explosive comic-con trailer for the upcoming series, Luke Cage, we now have an official trailer ahead of the series premiere on September 30. It brings a promising spectacle in the wake of a prosperous roll out of shows for the streaming service and with actor Mike Colter, no less, rightly servicing fans in the title role of an ex-con, the subject of a faulty experiment behind bars which has since rendered him bullet proof and super-strong, and ultimately befitting him as Harlem’s last, albeit reluctant hope for salvation against a rising crime wave.

Also starring are Mahershala Ali, Alfre Woodard, Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Frank Whaley and Sonia Braga, with actress Rosario Dawson who shares the Marvel/Netflix universe across all three shows so far. This, amid a narrative that interestingly welcomes its episodes titled per the songs of hit rap group, Gang Starr, should amply service this series as a hit in the making as we nudge toward actor Finn Jones’s Iron Fist series, The Defenders, and other upcoming seasons of shows Daredevil, Jessica Jones and The Punisher.
