KILLER BEE Graphic Novel Is Getting A Live-Action Film Starring DeWanda Wise

Jurassic World: Dominion actress DeWanda Wise will take the lead in a live-action adaptation of upcoming graphic novel, Killer Bee. Confluential Films is co-financing and producing the film from a script by Kevin Arbouet (“Move: The Untold Story of an American Tragedy”) and Terry Rossio (Pirates of the Caribbean franchise).

Wise will play “a retiring assassin who takes on an underground criminal network after being tasked to kill the man she’s recently fallen in love with.” The novel hails from author David Crownson who is also the mind behind Kingwood Comics publication, “Harriet Tubman: Demon Slayer”.

Crownson and Wise are exec producing, as will Jake Coburn, along with Sean Mik’ael Butler and Patrick Strøm of Cultivate Entertainment Partners.

“With DeWanda, the writing team of Terry and Kevin, and kick-ass source material, we have the ingredients for something very cool, that we are excitedly fast-tracking,” Oliver, who will produce the picture, said in a statement.
