Andreas Wiseman at Deadline has confirmed actor Chris Evans will be taking to the set next month for Rian Johnson’s Knives Out with actor Daniel Craig. Plot details are still thin following news that broke in September for Craig’s favored addition to the film which will otherwise give the Star Wars: The Last Jedi helmer a chance to mingle with a whodunit-style modern murder mystery drawn from his enthusiasm for Agatha Christie.

The news came later on Thursday after Evans officially announced his departure from the MCU as one of Marvel Studios’ core cast members since taking the mantle for Joe Johnston’s 2011 Captain America installment. Evans has followed through with the role for three Captain America films as well as thusfar on three Avengers titles; Evans’ final bow as America’s first Avenger will be in the fourth Avengers film on May 3, 2019.

Knives Out is being penned by Johnson who produces with partner Ram Bergman. Craig joined the film ahead of Toronto International Film Festival which gives him a well-timed project before finally stepping into the arena once more as James Bond with Cary Fukunaga (Maniac) set to direct in March forthwith for its February 2020 rollout.
