KUNG FU: Kai Ko And Leon Dai Level Up In The Official Trailer
If there’s a plus to a book author taking their own IP to the big screen, then I’ll leave that analysis to those familiar with any of director Giddens Ko’s literary work. As it stands though with Kung Fu on the horizon, things are shaping up pretty well ahead of its February 13 release in time for the Lunar New Year, and with an official trailer to help stir the interest.
Kai Ko, Leon Dai, Berant Zhu, and Gingle Wang star in the new fantasy martial arts comedy which follows a pair of high school outcasts who stumbleupon epic martial mastery when they become disciples of a master. As they learn the ins and outs of their training and what it means to use their skills to deliver justice, they now find themselves pulled into an epic 500 year feud between their master and his rival.
Kung Fu took a decade to develop and two years to film leading to one of Taiwan’s biggest film productions in history. There have already been a few press presentations as well, while 2026 will finally be the year Ko’s work makes the rounds.
Catch the official trailer below along with a new poster which debuted on Monday.
