The role is in the same vein as that of the one played by Rip Torn in the original movies.
The report states this will be a pivot from Nesson’s usual hard-edged, seasoned action thrillers – although honestly, I wouldn’t mind seeing Neeson go Bryan Mills on some alien fools while we’re at it. I think that would be a superb topping on this sci-fi reboot layer cake.
Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are on board and producing along with Steven Spielberg executive producing. David Beaubaire is overseeing the film for Sony.
