LONDON HAS FALLEN In The New Trailer!

You’re forgiven if 2013 felt a little too much for you when it came to the “battle of the White House hostage thrillers” between Antoine Fuqua’s Olympus Has Fallen and Roland Emmerich’s White House Down. Thankfully, 2015 won’t see a contest between who can destroy London the best with a hero still managing staying on top, and for this, Snabba Cash 2 helmer Babak Najafi is on hand with a follow-up to the former with the new film, London Has Fallen.
SYNOPSIS:

The story begins in London, where the British Prime Minister has passed away under mysterious circumstances. His funeral is a must-attend event for leaders of the western world. However, what starts out as the most protected event on Earth turns into a deadly plot to kill the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate every known landmark in the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. Only three people have any hope of stopping it: the President of the United States, his formidable Secret Service head (Gerard Butler), and an English MI-6 agent who rightly trusts no one.

Butler, who led the first film, has always been a frontrunner for “action hero” status and so it’s a little odd that he hasn’t stayed as busy in those efforts as of late. It’s nice to see him back in action as I predict this one will do just as well as the first in the box office upon its October 2 release.
