MAX STEEL Goes Turbo In The First U.S. Trailer

While nowhere near or in the Marvel or DC purview, Stewart Hendler’s latest live-action treatment at the helm for popular toy property Max Steel certainally grants itself quite the lip service. Though it was a bit of a wait before finally seeing two international trailers within the past month, U.S. platform Open Road Films has finally unveiled its first official trailer ahead of the film’s North American release now set for October 14.

SYNOPSIS:

16-year old MAX MCGRATH has just moved to a new town – and is desperately trying to fit in – when he discovers his body can generate the universe’s most powerful energy. Unbeknown to Max, a slightly rebellious and hilarious techno-organic extraterrestrial named Steel has been keeping an eye on him, hungry for his super-human energy.  When they finally meet, they discover that together they form MAX STEEL, a superhero possessing powerful strength beyond anything in our world.  These two unlikely friends soon find themselves hunted by sinister forces who want to control Max’s powers, as well as an unstoppable enemy from another galaxy.

Max Steel stars Ben Winchell alongside the voice of Josh Brener as Max’s techo-organic guide, Steel, and with this, a vision that ultimately fuses sci-fi and action rarely tapped into for the big screen which makes this a feat more than humbling to be offered. Also starring are Anna Villafañe, Maria Bello, Michael Doyle and Andy Garcia.
