Meet The Royal Family Of Netflix's New Action Drama Series, MARCO POLO

Series creator and executive producer John Fusco‘s latest epic action drama, Marco Polo, is gearing up for a December 12 premiere as the latest installation of Netflix’s line-up of original programming. The development and overall production of the series has already led to the prospects of further seasons to expand this newest story featuring actor Lorenzo Richelmy in the title role. As such, time will tell if this will happen, in which case, fans can expect more intrigue, as well as some new faces along the way.
For now though, Netflix has unleashed its latest batch of character posters for its brand new series, with names listed accordingly to the characters in the following order: Benedict Wong as emperor Kublai Khan, Remy Hii as the emperor’s son, Jingim, Joan Chen as Empress Chabi – Khan’s strong-willed wife, Uli Latukefu as Byamba – the Emperor’s illegitimate son from a trist with a concubine, Zhu Zhu as Kokachin – Polo‘s forbidden love interest, Chin Han as Jia Sidao – Song court chancellor, Olivia Cheng as Mei Lin – royal concubine and Sidao’s sister and Tom Wu as Hundred Eyes – Polo’s blind martial arts trainer.

SYNOPSIS:

“Marco Polo” is an epic adventure that follows the early years of the famous explorer as he travels the exotic Silk Road to the great Kublai Khan’s court. But Marco soon finds that navigating the Khan’s world of greed, betrayal, sexual intrigue and rivalry will be his greatest challenge yet, even as he becomes a trusted companion to the Khan in his violent quest to become the Emperor of the World.
