MERCY FOR NONE Teaser Reveals Gangbuster Action And A Badass So Ji-Sub In The New K-Drama
It’s been a long time since I’ve consumed an action-packed Korean drama. Shows like Last, Lawless Lawyer and Bloodhounds are great bookmarks in that regard, but I’m already loving what Mercy For None has to offer, returning actor So Ji-sub (A Company Man, Alienoid 1 & 2) to the screen.
The series follows Ki-jun (SO JI-SUB), a former underworld figure who severed his own Achilles tendon to leave that life behind 11 years ago. When his brother Ki-seok (Lee Jun-hyuk), once the second-in-command of their organization, is found dead, Ki-jun returns to uncover the truth behind his brother’s death. The teaser keyart immediately draws attention with Ki-jun standing alone amidst fallen figures in a narrow alley, bloodstains marking the fierce battle he fought single-handedly against his enemies.
The teaser trailer reveals glimpses of Ki-jun’s relentless pursuit of the dark secrets and hidden mastermind behind his brother’s sudden death, armed with his signature weapon — a baseball bat. Scenes of him taking down anyone who tries to block his path and advancing despite gunfire highlight his determination and the explosive violence that define his journey. How will Ki-jun’s path to retribution end?
Without compromise or regret, Mercy For None takes viewers on a chilling path of vengeance, redefining the world of cold-blooded, intense noir action.
The teaser is just below, and it’s moody as all hell. Dark, brooding, and the image of one guy letting loose on a gang of thugs with nothing more than a bat and some sheer fucking will speaks volumes.
Also starring are Huh Joon-ho, Gong Myoung, Choo Young woo, An Kil-kang, Tiger Lee, and Cho Han-cheul, along with special appearances by Cha Seung-won and Lee Jun-hyuk.
