MUZZLE: CITY OF WOLVES Reveals First Look At Aaron Eckhart In New Action Crime Sequel; Highland Lands Multiple Sales
Highland Film Group is in Berlin for their international sales slate which also includes upcoming action crime sequel, Muzzle: City Of Wolves, following its recent production wrap in South Africa. Golden Globe-nominee and Independent Spirit Award-winner Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight, The Bricklayer, Sully), reprises his role from the first film, and can be seen in a first look photo newly released as of Thursday.
Muzzle: City Of Wolves reunites Eckhart with John Stalberg Jr., who also directed the first installment. Haunted by PTSD from his days as a K-9 officer, Jake Rosser (Eckhart) endeavors to lead a peaceful life with his family and retired K-9 companion, Socks. But the tranquility quickly dissolves when a ruthless gang targets them in a brutal attack. Determined to protect his loved ones, Jake and his new K-9 partner Argos delve into a violent underbelly of crime where Jake confronts corrupt officials, uncovers a perilous drug trafficking ring and battles his own inner demons.
Rounding out the cast are Tanya Van Graan (24 Hours to Live, Redeeming Love), Karl Thaning (Dredd, The Dark Tower), Dylan Williams (The Carpenter) and Nicole Fortuin (Netflix’s Heart of the Hunter and “One Piece”). The film is written by Jacob Michael King (Caviar), from a story by Carlyle Eubank (The Signal) & John Stalberg, Jr., who wrote the first installment.
Stalberg, Jr. also produced the film through his Slow Burn label next to Broken Open Pictures’ David Frigerio (Land of Bad, Muzzle, Bad Hombres), Nathan Klingher and Ford Corbett for Gramercy Park Media (Land of Bad), Stuart Ford (Netflix’s Hit Man), Joshua Harris for Peachtree Media Partners, and Delon Bakker and Kyle Ambrose (Rogue) for Mannequin Pictures. Tim O’Hair and RuthAnne Frigerio serve as exec producers for Broken Open Pictures, as well as Carlyle Eubank and David Guglielmo for Slow Burn, Dallas Sonnier for Bonfire Legend, Jatin Desai and Greg Friedman for Peachtree Media Partners, Kyle Smithson, Mark Fasano for Gramercy Park Media, and Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier for Highland Film Group.

Highland’s current slate also includes Martin Campbell’s action-thriller Dedication starring Daisy Ridley; Adrian Grunberg’s action-thriller Protector starring Milla Jovovich; Justin Chadwick’s action thriller Sierra Madre starring Kiefer Sutherland; the action crime thriller Wardriver starring Dane DeHaan and Sasha Calle; Allan Ungar’s action-comedy London Calling starring Josh Duhamel and Jeremy Ray Taylor; and the sci-fi thriller The Astronaut from producer Brad Fuller and starring Kate Mara and Lawrence Fishburne, which will have its world premiere at SXSW.
