MYSTIC BLADE Wields Its Way Online With A New Trailer!

It’s been several years since production wrapped and followed with post-production for the upcoming fantasy martial arts revenge thriller, Mystic Blade. The film marks a feature debut for action auteur and stuntman David Ismalome with award-winning martial artist and mentor, actor, stuntman producer and screenwriter Don Ferguson in his first lead role since the two began their respective journeys as competitive martial artists in Thailand where they would soon cross paths on the set of the 2003 action hit, Ong Bak, ultimately becoming long term friends and collaborators with its lead actor, Tony Jaa.

With both Ferguson and Ismalone working their way up the ladder with notable respective film credits like The Twins’ Effect (2003), The Protector 1 and 2 (2005/2013), The Great Challenge (2004), Muay Thai Chaiya (2007) and The Fifth Commandment (2008), their efforts now bring them on the forefront of film with their newest independent collaborative contribution together which is finally getting its first bit of release news with dates to be announced in September for North America and Thailand. Indican Pictures has provided the latest trailer for the film which you can now check out below the following synopsis.

Sam is a killer by trade, one of a group of merciless men known as the Shadow Syndicate whose business is delivering fate for a price. But when Sam is asked to erase the line between honor and evil, he turns his back on the Shadows knowing this will make him a wanted man. After years of hiding in the hills of Thailand, Sam falls in love with a beautiful Thai girl named Mali and fathers a son named Shiro. Sam and his family live a simple and happy life fishing and living off the land. But he can’t run away from the past and soon finds out what happens when you cross the Shadow Syndicate. 

Sam and his wife are left for dead on a violent and bloody night. They think they have taken everything from him until cries from Shiro bring Sam back to the world of the living. Now with something worth fighting for and a thirst for vengeance; Sam forges a mystical blade from the ashes of his one great love.  Sam and Shiro embark on a journey across the globe to track down these evil men one by one to have their revenge.

Mystic Blade stars Ferguson and Ismalone with actress Julaluck Ismalone also serving as producer, and also stars the actor’s real-life son, Ronny Ferguson, with Yothin Udomsanti and martial arts sensation Tim Man rounding out the cast. Watch the trailer and keep an eye peeled for more news ahead.
