Now Featuring: A Better Looking Trailer For BADGES OF FURY

Despite being handed a LQ fan-cam clip of trailer in recent days, the wait is over and we FINALLY have a better quality trailer for the upcoming action comedy, Badges Of Fury directed by Wang Zi Ming. The trailer comes just as the now 50 year-old legendary international action hero started taking a recent break from acting, and reportedly declaring to choose roles later on, no longer for the sake of money. In a recent statement to the press, Li said, “I’ve received many offers, but this year, I’ve already rejected three movies,…I’ll wait until an offer comes along that touches my heart, or I that feel it’s fun, then I’ll do it.”

It is probably no biggie for the veteran martial artist and actor-for nearly three and a half decades, Li has brought fury and passion to screens worldwide, from roles in the Shaolin Temple films, the Once Upon A Time In China series, and the Hong Kong classic Yuen Woo Ping actioner, Fist Of Legend. Li’s lucrative career eventually led him to his breakout villainous role in the hit film franchise action finale, Lethal Weapon 4, followed by other blockbuster box office hits like Fearless, Hero and The Expendables 1 and 2. Considering Li’s previous statements, the jury is still out on whether or not we will see him again in The Expendables 3, so we will see how that works out eventually.

In any case, Badges Of Fury, releasing on June 28, 2013, sees Jet Li returning to his Hong Kong cinema roots with action director Corey Yuen Kwai, whose history with Li include films ranging from Hong Kong to Hollywood, High Risk, Fong Sai Yuk 1 and 2, Romeo Must Die, Kiss Of The Dragon and War. The cast also boasts Hong Kong action veteran Collin Chou whose collective credits with Yuen and Li include My Father Is A Hero, The Bodyguard From Beijing, Dr. Wai & The Scripture With No Words and D.O.A.: Dead Or Alive.

The film also stars Wen Zhang who recently appeared with Li in the 2012 film, The Sorceror And The White Snake. Rounding out the cast is Liu Shishi, Michelle Chen, Liu Yan and Jacky Wu Jing.
