Oharra Strikes Back In Faux Commercial, ENTER THE WATER!

Filmmaker Derek Underwood has been making movies since the age of ten. It’s a path that has proven lucrative for him, having also been a fan of iconic martial arts legend, Bruce Lee. That said, take a gander at Underwood’s new faux commercial, Enter The Water, a satirical spin the 1973 headlining hit, Enter The Dragon featuring living martial artist and actor, Bob Wall spoofing his iconic and villianous role, Oharra. Karate Gi, scar, broken bottles, the works. And yes, ninjas. And Pai Mei.

The PARODY FAN FILM “Enter the Water”, not affiliated with Enter the Dragon, Warner Brothers, KO Water, or World BlackBelt, finally premieres on YouTube!

The faux commercial stars former heavyweight kickboxing champion Bob Wall who also co-starred in Enter the Dragon, Game of Death, & Return of the Dragon. Bob reprises his role as O’Hara in this faux commercial that parodies his iconic character in Enter the Dragon in a comical workout only one of the world’s toughest men can endure!

Executive Produced by Kylae Jordan and produced by Derek Underwood & Kara Wall the spot was over a year and half in the making. After speaking with Director Derek Underwood he said, “This faux commercial will always be very special to me. I made it because I grew up on Bruce Lee’s films and when the opportunity came about to work with Bob and have him reprise his character from Enter the Dragon, one of the most iconic martial arts films of all time, I jumped at it. The spot was done on a micro-budget so it took longer to complete than expected. However, being that ‘Enter the Dragon’ just celebrated its 40th anniversary and re-released the film it seems like the timing is perfect. I really hope fans of the film will enjoy seeing O’Hara kick some ass forty years later! It’s a light combination of old martial arts films and one part grindhouse. To get to experiment and combine both subgenres was a great experience. When voice over star Jon Bailey of “Honest Movie Trailers” agreed to perform the VO it was like the final piece of the puzzle. Jon was extremely kind by working for us on our micro-budget and we are extremely grateful.”

On why he took the financial investment Executive Producer Kylae Jordan stated “In the spirit of my childhood and having the opportunity to work with so many people I respected for their craft, I thought it was an excellent opportunity to be a fan and a professional and get to work in an environment that may never happen again for me. It was a unique and rare opportunity.”

The spot required a lot of talented individuals volunteering their time. The commercial includes fight choreography by Art Camacho, a knockout original score by Sound Designer & musician Noah Woodburn, & editing by Samuel Perkins/Derek Underwood.

A special thanks to Kylae Jordan, Kara Wall, Samuel Perkins, Noah Woodburn, Art Camacho, Bob Wall, & the Carbon VFX team.
