PLAYER AGENCY: Teaser Trailer Revealed For Art School Dropouts VR Hybrid Indie Action Adventure
It’s not everyday you learn about an independent action film shot almost entirely in virtual reality. At best, and with a teaser trailer at hand now, if you hadn’t heard of Player Agency, then let today be that day for you.
Player Agency follows Yami as a depressed, out-of-work homebody who finds renewed purpose in a VR-based adventure RPG, questing his way through a realm ruled by a tyrannical “Lich King”, and battling demons both virtual and internal to take his life back. The project was a two-year endeavor for Joey Min and his Art School Dropouts collective, with performances by Min along with actors Kage Yami, Angela Jordan, Stephanie Pham, and Shawn Williams.
Much like what Art School Dropouts did with its 2018 action comedy, Yes, Auntie!, the plan is to distibute Player Agency in webseries format before rolling out a feature film edit. I’ll be sharing a review of the film edit before long, but do check out the teaser trailer below and sub to the channel if you haven’t already done so.
