Pre-Order Mitsutake Kurando's GUN WOMAN In The US And UK Today!

Director Mitsutake Kurando‘s sexy, bloody rampaging assassin horror thriller, Gun Woman, has seen some huge successes and praise during its film festival run since last year with actress Asami front and center as the lead. The reviews are nothing short of stellar and I’m quite jealous of not ever seeing the film earlier on myself. Fortunately though, if you live in the U.S. or U.K., you can finally mark your calendars with a date finally set for both regions.

Pre-orders are now available in the U.K. prior to its official street date on December 29 from distributor Monster Pictures, and you can buy your copy at Amazon BY CLICKING HERE, while American moviegoers can get their hands early on a Blu-Ray copy of their own from Shout Factory’s own in-house cult film arm, Scream Factory, who have just made the announcement today for pre-orders available from their official website.
On May 26th, Scream Factory will unleash the ultra-violent (with a strong emphasis on violent) contemporary thriller GUN WOMAN to Blu-ray and DVD.
In the action-packed vein of La Femme Nikita, this 2014 production has been making well-received waves at various festivals across the globe. To date, it has screened at the Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival (Winner: Special Jury Prize), Texas Frightmare Weekend. Weekend of Fear Film Festival (Winner: Best Feature Film), Fantasia International Film Festival, the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival and A Night of Horror/Fantastic Planet Film Festival (Winner: Best Female Performance Award).
The film stars Japanese actress Asami, who some fans will recognize her from her roles in cult films such as Machine Girl, Rape Zombie: Lust of the Dead and Dead Sushi.
Those of you that might have had a chance to see this film know how over-the-top this is and we must agree that it will push the limits for some. (We even have staff here who won’t watch its trailer all the way through.) We will let you be the ultimate judge come this Summer.

SYNOPSIS via Shout Factory:

“4 ½ stars… a cool-as-hell film… Gun Woman is, without a doubt, an excellent genre film steeped in the bloody revenge film history of the 70s and 80s…” – horrormovies.ca

“4 ½ stars. By the time it’s over, you’re in love with Gun Woman and begging for more.” – Dread Central

A brilliant doctor vows revenge on a crazy sadistic killer following the murder of his wife… and devises the perfect assassination plan by turning a young woman into the most lethal assassin the world has ever seen. This outrageous plan will unfold in the killer’s heavily fortified underground lair. The lethal assassin will be placed into a temporal state of death and sent into the facility as a dead body… but when she wakes, it is everyone else in the compound who will be deprived of their lives.

But there is one catch. What will she use as a weapon? The staff of the underground facility is armed with weapons that have fingerprint authentication systems so it’s impossible for her to use their weapons. The doctor’s genius plan is to surgically hide the gun parts into the woman’s body, so she can rip off her stitches when she wakes, take out the parts, assemble the gun and become the ultimate Gun Woman.

From director Kurando Mitsutake, who dazed genre fans with his “Samurai Avenger: The Blind Wolf” comes an original kick-ass film, Gun Woman, starring rising Japanese action star Asami (The Machine Girl, Dead Sushi). Watch crazy meet crazier in this no-holds-barred revenge flick!
