RIOT Comes Home On Digital HD And DVD/Blu-Ray This Spring

Action star Dolph Lundgren is in prison a lot, lately. He’s got three titles in 2016 which relatively take place behind bars in one form or another, one of them now in the form of director John Lyde’s Riot.

Universal Pictures is packaging this one to release in Digital HD on March 22 before hitting Blu-Ray and DVD on April 5. Alas, the Lundgren fanbase is big and so he does most of the talking in the trailer while throwing down a bit, but it’s actor and producer Matthew Reese who leads the way straight to a toe-to-toe brawl with former UFC light heavyweight champ, Chuck Liddell.
SYNOPSIS:

Copper Jack Stone (Matthew Reese) purposefully orchestrates a bank robbery in order to be thrown into prison with the notorious Russian kingpin, Balam (Chuck Liddell). Balam is more than just a mob criminal, he’s a very cunning and dangerous lord who controls the police force from behind bars. Balam lives in prison as a cover for his real power, which is King of the city. His cell is a lavish private room built specifically for him, inaccessible to most in the depths of the prison structure. Even the warden fears venturing into his area of the prison. However, even surrounded by his loyal henchmen and guards in his sectioned off fortress, Balam doesn’t know Jack is coming for him to avenge his family, whom Balam murdered in cold blood. Balam is tough… but Jack is tougher.

Everyone fights in this trailer, and with none other than Braxton McAllister debuting as stunt coordinator, expect the action here to look something fierce. Check out the trailer and bookmark this title for the Spring!
