ROMANTIC KILLER: Love Hurts, But Not As Much As Moka Kamishiraishi In The First Teaser!
366 Days and Ya Boy Kongming! starlet Moka Kamishiraishi’s got a hot date this Winter, and a choice to make in romantic beat ’em up comedy, Romantic Killer. The film hails from director Tsutomu Hanabusa who’s recent successes partly include adapting IPs such as Kagegurui and Tokyo Revengers to the big screen.
Hanabusa directs from a script by TV veteran Junpei Yamaoka who wrote films like Kamen Teacher, Impossibility Defense, and My Boyfriend In Orange. Adapted from Momoyo Wataru’s multi-award winning Jump Comics publication out of Shueisha, Romantic Killer finds romantically disinterested high school girl Kyoko in a bind when a wizard named Lili appears, determined to make Kyoko fall in love in order for Lili to preserve the “love energy” on which her magical world. For our loveless heroine, that means the boys are gonna come’a knockin, and she’s determined to fend them off no matter what.
Romantic Killer also stars Kyohei Takahashi, Masaya Kimura, Naniwa Danshi, and Souta Nakajima. Toho is releasing the film on December 12 in Japan.
