Director James Nunn is getting ready to serve up a heavy beating early next year for fans of cult martial arts superstar, Scott Adkins whose highly anticipated appearance in debut director and fellow action hero, actor Wu Jing’s Chinese commando thriller, Wolf Warrior next month in Asia. This time, the North American fanbase can also finally expect to catch Adkins in action in the upcoming long-awaited release of Nunn‘s gritty UK martial arts crime thriller, Green Street Hooligans: Underground, the third in a long, enduring trilogy based on the tellings of European football fanfare with this, a perfect revenge-fueled setting for brutal, pulse pounding action and drama with stellar fight choreography and editing by co-star Joey Ansah (Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist).
SYNOPSIS:
After the worldwide success of Green Street Hooligans and it’s subsequent sequel, it was inevitable that a third film would be planned. Green Street Hooligans: Underground is the story of when the old firm leader Danny, played by Scott Adkins, returns to Green Street for revenge after receiving a call that his little brother was killed. But is he able to cope with a new type of hooliganism and can he find his killer?
The film is currently getting a scant theatrical run in the AMC theaters circuit before its VoD/DVD release on January 27, 2015, which should be an easy sell by then!
