There’s a trio of shorts currently heeding my attention in the past week and I have some promo assets available for all three!…
First up is the kind of action romance romp you might expect in Love & War, directed by Amy Johnston who stars along with Seth Allyn Austin. Here, the two play lonely assassins who find each other on a dating app, and on the run from the hitmen and women hired to kill them both. The project was written by Sean Crayne who recently unveiled the first official poster for his latest directing effort, Pay Homage, which also stars Johnston.
The second comes from Adante Watts with a project I literally stumbled upon via social media last week. For this, we get Taco Tuesday which tells of a suburban housewife who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue her husband from captivity in time for their dinner date. The short was filmed earlier this year and features a cast led by Emma Anne Wedemeyer and Triston Dye, with stunt sequences coordinated by Diego Davila-Rivera.
Last and far from least is the first official teaser for Night Shift from Lorenz Hideyoshi. He and his cohorts spent some time filming this one in Saigon back in 2023 and 2024. The long and short of it is a mystery but the teaser sets it up beautifully with its cinematography, as well as Seiji Champollion’s music score, topped off with the presence of some sick stunt action teases involving none other than Hideyoshi, and action stalwart Andy Long Nguyen.
