There’s a trio of shorts currently heeding my attention in the past week and I have some promo assets available for all three!… First up is the kind of action romance romp you might expect in Love & War, directed by Amy Johnston who stars along with Seth Allyn Austin. Here, the two play lonely assassins who find each other on a dating app, and on the run from the hitmen and women hired to kill them both. The project was written by Sean Crayne who recently unveiled the first official poster for his latest directing effort, Pay Homage, which also stars Johnston. The second comes from Adante Watts with a project I literally stumbled upon via social media last week. For this, we get Taco Tuesday which tells of a suburban housewife who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue her husband from captivity in time for their dinner […]
I’m in the midst of tinkering away at some reviews and Lorenz Hideyoshi Ruuwe’s YouTube just dropped this jewel which you can now view below with Clinch. Ruuwe is joined by Rajab Hassan for a dramatic kung fu brawl choreoed by Kai Fung Rieck and directed by Alexis R. Knapps Torres, shot back in February and is now available for consumption by the masses. Enjoy!
My weekend was loaded with work – I hope I can hold up this week! Goodness… Friday evening was fantastic though and I ended up using all of Saturday to write about it which you can read more on here. For all else, it’s time for the Hit List and we begin with another fine grouping of stunt action and training reels by some of today’s best and up-and-coming performers. Stacie Rathbone kicks things off nice and high with a mackin’ new reel of her own, as well as the Arkham Assassin himself, Spencer Mulligan, followed by reels from Michelle DeMond, Jerry Quill, the delightful Cheryl Lewis, Jeffrey Olynek, Adair Moran, Nate Ozeroff, Jared Beaulieu, Clancy Petersen, Rhys Williams and Tamas Haygo. Finshing out the playlist is none other than multifaceted action choreographer Vlad Rimburg whose craft has seen some great strides forward in recent years from independent action to mainstream projects overseas, […]
German action cinema will be popping up on our radar quite a bit this year among other things, and with a talent base far from faint. Actor and stuntman Dave Ardito is one such example whose recent stunt performance credits include James McTeigue, as well as Mike Moeller actioners, Arena Of The Street Fighter and One Million K(l)icks, and after a small raft of shortfilm credits in the director’s chair, it wasn’t until around 2014 that the wheels began turning at Ardito’s production banner, Visioncreed, for their newest thriller, Perception Of Peace. Ardito leads the cast of the film from his own script which blends family drama and war themes with sprawling action depicting the tale of an American who sets out in search of his long lost brother by way of his diary amidst brewing global conflict and the rise of a supposed terrorist organization. Pia Grey is producing […]
