SI PALING AKTOR Dishes Out A Hard-Hitting Trailer For The New Action Comedy

I’m still pining to see director Ody C. Harahap’s films made available in the Western markets around these parts. He’s been on my radar long enough that Skakmat, Hit & Run and Virgo & the Sparklings are a priority for me, presently, and adding to the list is the new action adventure comedy, Si Paling Aktor, starring Jourdy Pranata and opening in Indonesia next month.

Harahap’s film takes its cues from a 2024 novel by Adhitya Mulya and follows an overzealous background actor thrust into danger when he gets mistaken for the son of a wealthy businessman by a kidnapper looking to ransom billions in riches in exchange for his life. Beby Tsabina, Kenny Austin and Verdi Solaiman also star, along with a cameo by action star Yayan Ruhian who helps punctuate the laughs by the end of the trailer.
