Sofia Black-D'Elia Brings Vengeance Home In The Upcoming Film, BORN OF WAR (A.K.A. MIA)

Switching gears from romantic comedy to one-woman-army revenge action epic, Lady Godiva (2008) helmer Vicky Jewson is looking to share her latest feature-length sophomore efforts with the upcoming release, Born Of War. Blending the mood and look of such films as Run Lola Run (1998) and Hanna (2011), the new centers around the riveting tale of a young woman who journeys into the world of international espionage and danger when predestined legacy at the hands of an elusive international tribal terrorist threatens everything she’s grown to know and love upon the murder her parents.

Unfortunately there is no North American release date since Arclight has attained international rights to the film after its festival run last year. However, moviegoers in Japan will get the first theatrical release beginning on February 1, 2014 under its new title, Mia, courtesy of Nikkatsu. Gossip Girl star and co-star of the upcoming sci-fi flick Welcome To Yesterday, actress Sophia Black-D’elia leads the cast with actresses Lydia Leonard, Olivia Jewson and Jade Hudson, and actors James Frain, Lydia Leonard, James Frain, Phillip Arditti, Joey Ansah, Michael Brandon and Avin Shah. The film is produced by Rupert Whitaker with a script by Alan Heartfield.
