Sony Pictures Takes LEGEND OF THE CONDOR HEROES: THE GALLANTS For U.S. Release
Sony Pictures International Productions (SPIP) just picked up Tsui Hark’s new martial arts adventure, Legend of the Condor Heroes: The Gallants. The movie opens this week in China and Hong Kong with plans for a theatrical U.S. release on February 21.
Hark directs from his own script which takes inspiration from the titular novel by late author Jin Yong, and tells of burgeoning warrior Guo Jing who becomes a legendary martial arts hero. The film stars Xiao Zhan, Sabrina Zhuang, Vanda Margraf, and Tony Leung Ka-Fai.
Other territories with expectant dates include Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand, and Indonesia.
