STREET FIGHTER Pushes Start With A Sneak Peek Teaser + Posters
The twelfth edition of the Game Awards took off on Thursday. For Paramount Pictures, that meant lending fans a sneak peek at Kitao Sakurai’s Street Fighter, which opens in theaters October 16.
Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!
The brief sneak peek can be viewed below along with a spate of character posters just beneath. It’s the best look at the actors in full costume since production began back in August.
It’s also the latest iteration of the game’s adaptation to film following previous efforts Steven E. de Souza (Street Fighter), Andrew Bartkowiak (Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li), and Joey Ansah (Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist).
