Norwegian filmmaker Tommy Wirkola‘s new zombie apocalypse follow-up, Dead Snow 2: Red Vs. Dead has been making the film festival rounds all year and the reviews have been upbeat thusfar. The film is finally getting a limited theatrical North American release on October 10 from Well Go USA, prior to its upcoming appearance at this year’s Toronto After Dark Film Festival which kicks off a week later.
SYNOPSIS:
The gruesome army of awakened Nazi Zombies from fan favourite DEAD SNOW once again return to terrorize the Norwegian countryside! In this crowd-pleasing zombie action comedy follow-up, Martin, the sole survivor of the first movie, must join forces with an American zombie hunter (cult favourite FREAKS AND GEEKS’ Martin Starr) and a reanimated squad of dead Russians if he is to try to defeat the undead Nazi horde and their evil commander!
Actors and co-writers Vegar Hoel and Stig Frode Henriksen return for the sequel with Martin Starr, Ørjan Gamst, Ingrid Haas and Jocelyn DeBoer rounding out the cast.
