Just after showcasing his most recent action directorial feats with Jonny Caines in The Monkey Vault, independent filmmaker Leo Kei Angelos is back once more with the release of his newest short gem in the form of Rifle Fight Practice. Filmed in the course of two Saturdays, the concept was brought as the team, made up of Eclipse Stunts members, actors DL MacDonald and Alex Chung, and Riot A.C.T.’s own Tyler Williams were coordinating, and Angelos decided to inch up the stakes a little bit. “Leo enjoys having props in his scenes.”, says MacDonald. “We were choreographing a fight and decided that we should be fighting over something… So we placed [the rifle] into the fight.”. Alex Chung's WEREWOLF ASSASSIN Goes Hunting Later This Year

Independent filmmaker and Eclipse Stunts team member Alex Chung recently launched a Facebook page to promote his newest upcoming film, Werewolf Assassin. Starring Kyle Stewart, Jermaine Carty and Celine Lolos, the new project is best described Chung‘s own tribute to Grindhouse-style action horror, featuring its own fair share of over-the-top violence, cheesy one-liners, and lots of gore. The idea for the project originally began as an idea for a test fight clip, which evidently revealed its potential to Chung for something greater to expand on. Chung, who last appeared in Fernando Huerto’s comedic action short last year titled Do The Damn Thing: In Canada, explained his inspiration to Film Combat Syndicate in a recent conversation this week. “I’ve always wanted to do a Grindhouse-type film. Influenced by a healthy blend of American Hollywood blockbusters and classic 80’s Hong Kong action cinema, Alex would eventually find himself sharing similar circles with fellow Canadian actor, DL MacDonald, prior to starting their own martial arts stunt team, Eclipse Stunts, as well as his own independent film group, Heroic Melon Collective.
