THE MATRIX: AMC And Dolby Invite Fans In The U.S. To Jack Into The Action For One Week Starting August 30

Dolby Laboratories, Inc., Warner Bros., and AMC Theatres are staking in their efforts toward a one-week re-release of the Wachowskis’ supersized sci-fi action hit, The Matrix. Starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie Anne Moss, Laurence Fishburne and Hugo Weaving, the film will open in more than 135 Dolby Cinema at AMC locations across the U.S. on August 30. Originally released on March 31, 1999, The Matrix was an innovative game changer for its stunning visuals (i.e. “bullet time” a la Blade), transformative storytelling, and award-winning action Yuen Woo-Ping’s applications of martial arts and high-flying action building on the successes of kung fu hits such as Iron Monkey and Fist Of Legend.
