I seldom caught anything on television many years ago seeing as I had very little time for it. This didn’t stop me from trying when I could, and with shows like action crime drama, Banshee, running on Cinemax as part of its network line-up, I watched what I could and when. Sadly, I could never keep up with the series and not ever knowing the full breadth of the story, the big season three cliffhanger was all I knew of the show…at least until recent weeks. It’s almost hard to believe that Cinemax’s hit series, Banshee, is coming to a close after this year’s fourth and final season. Bearing this in mind, it’ll be interesting to follow if you’ve been keeping up with actor Antony Starr and actress Ivana Milicevic as their respective characters deal with troubling story arcs that pit them against some of the worst circumstances they’ve had to face. This, coupled with supporting performances by Frankie Faison and Hoon Lee with performances by the stunning Lili Simmons and the intriguing Ulrich Thomsen has led the show to some pretty gut-wrenching twists and turns with piping hot action that keeps you wanting more. The latest trailer for the final season of the hit Cinemax series, Banshee, premiered at the New York Comic Con on Thursday this week. It’s been a delightful series full of thrilling moments in the years since it debuted in 2011, and almost makes you couldn’t have asked for more from television. Antony Starr and Ivana Milicevc are joined by a cast of returning and new characters, with actress Eliza Dushuku leaving her mark on the forth and final season which launches on January 29, 2016. For those who haven’t been keeping up, the show has been a milestone in bringing intense action with a moody tone to its layered narrative that took off with Starr in the role of an ex-con who assumes the identity of a dead sheriff in a Pennsylvania Amish town full of secrets. Perhaps one of the biggest and most successful aspects of television in the last several years has been the way in which various shows have been leveling up in action. Fans of the hit show, Banshee will understand what I mean with that in mind while forced to live on with the show’s forth and final season set to air next year, dealing quite a blow to a fanbase that clearly knows, if nothing else, great television when they see it. Cinemax Series, BANSHEE, Gets A Fourth Season Order

If there was ever a reason to watch more television in 2015, let that reason be Cinemax’s Emmy award winning action drama series, Banshee. The third season is already underway, the bodies are piling up, and the rivalries are heating up as well with Antony Starr in the role of Lucas Hood, Banshee’s town sheriff with a hidden past, and Geno Segers as Chayton Littlestone, the menacing towering leader of the Redbone gang. The third season of Banshee is set to end next month, and so with today’s announcement of a fourth season order, casting is still to be determined.
