ASH VS. EVIL DEAD: SEASON 2 – Two Times The Blood. Groovy.

From the creative mind of Sam Raimi, based off the hit cult films of the same name, we are given the new adventures of eponymous lothario Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) with a whole slew (yes, I went there!) of Evil Dead, or Deadites as Ash calls them, to fight. Granted, Ash is older, slightly fatter, with his razor sharp wit and charm still intact, plus his handy chainsaw hand at play to slay to a new audience on the Starz network. Along with Ivan Raimi and Tom Spezialy, this “slice and dice” comedy/horror is remarkably entertaining. And bloody. Did I mention the copious amounts of blood in this yet? Be prepared for it! With the first four minutes of the upcoming hit action horror series, Ash VS. The Evil Dead making way online and further adding fuel to the fandom this week, the prospects are already looking greater. Another film may even be in the works as we speak, but for those keen on the new effort her at STARZ, apparently the network is already ordering a second season. I’m not a huge horror fanatic, but lately I’m being given a few things to catch up on, and apparently watching director Sam Raimi‘s 1981 cult horror hit, The Evil Dead and his 1987 sequel, both starring actor Bruce Campbell, are a few to put on my to-see list. Starz network just greenlit a sequel television series to these films which garnered both critical and commercial acclaim in their heyday prior to the 2013 reboot, and the company issued a press release on Monday as part of their official announcement.
