Wage MARIO WARFARE Online Right Now In Its Full Feature Glory

Three years after beginning their journey into Nintendo’s longstanding staple with the fan-driven live-action webseries, Mario Warfare, the folks at Beat Down Boogie have officially released a feature-length cut of the series you can now view below. Actors Matthew Sumner and Jarod Kearney lead the cast for director Micah Moore’s indie spoof of gaming lore with Alena Koch and Brian Lee as our heroes work to defend the mushroom kingdom against Bowser and his army. SYNOPSIS: Bowser’s airship fleet wreaks havoc on the Mushroom Kingdom. The King is missing, presumed dead. The princess is on the run. A couple of plumbers answer the call of duty and sign up to fight. Now Mario, Luigi, and a team of old school video game characters are thrown into the gritty new world of first person shooters. Made through trial and error and the many blessings of their fans and Kickstarter backers alike, it was back in 2012 that indie cult film studio, Beat Down Boogie, achieved a major milestone toward an ambitious new webseries attributed to the Super Mario franchise. Fans now know this series as the award-winning epic saga, Mario Warfare, directed by Dogs Of Chinatown helmer Micah Moore and running in eight parts as of last summer with Matthew Sumner and Jarod Kearney starring as our two beloved plumbers now forged in the heat of combat as Bowser and his goons lay claim to the Mushroom Kingdom. The folks over at gaming company UbiSoft have been very heavy to promote their products through their motion picture branch with the buzz they generated this summer with the development of live action productions for Splinter Cell, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Rabbids and Transformers 4 director Michael Bay’s involvement in Ghost Recon. In addition, the upcoming release of Watch Dogs was also announced with the promise of a big screen induction further backed by Sony Pictures Entertainment and New Regency. No question about it. If studios believe they have what it takes to bring video game characters to life and filmmaking fits their business model, there’s no stopping them. New Teaser Clips Have Arrived For MARIO WARFARE Season One

Independent filmmaking company Beat Down Boogie some major groundwork when filmmaker Micah Moore got inspired one day to create costumes for what would turn out to be an historical installation in online entertainment with the release of Mario Warfare: Episode One. Since then, following the release of episode two with a crowdfunding campaign to help finance the production of future episodes, Beat Down Boogie has been making great progress with the production of at least five more episodes since earlier this year. I asked Micah earlier this week about what fans can expect from upcoming episodes. “Mario has to face his destiny and become a hero.” he says. “Peach has to discover the responsibility of guiding a Kingdom, even if it is a shattered one.”.
